Yarkon River and Park Hayarkon, Tel Aviv, Tel Aviv, District, Israel

Yarkon Park is a scenic public park located next to the Yarkon River, just a few minutes’ drive from downtown Tel Aviv and features a variety of natural attractions including a wonderous Rock Garden.

The Rock Garden is one of the largest examples of its kind in the world, featuring various types of rock from limestone and granite in a 10 acre enclosure where rocks are interspersed with over 3500 species of plants. There are six acres of cacti, many of them in flower.

The Tropical Garden sits in five acres of land, and has a wooden walkway shaded by huge palm trees, as well as a lake which is home to swans and fish. The garden has a sub-tropical micro-climate providing the perfect habitat for the large variety of orchids and vines which live here.

Seven Mills is a heritage center located at the park and where historic flour mills which ran on power from the river still remain.
