Malapesquera Beach, Benalmádena, Málaga
Malapesquera Beach is in Benalmádena. According to the older fishermen from the area, the name of the beach, Malapesquera (Bad fishing) comes from the few fish caught there. Now, it is among the beaches offering a large number of water sports all year round.
700 metres long and 50 metres wide, the eastern side is next to the Marina while the western end is adjacent to Santa Ana Beach.
Malapesquera Beach is home to some of the most emblematic hotels in the town. This is a lively area where sporting and entertainment events are held all year round. In the summer season there are daily sports activities run by the Sports Centre in collaboration with the local Beach Authority.
In stormy weather or when the Easterly winds blow, Malapesquera Beach is frequented by expert surfers who enjoy the waves that build up there.
