KTS Kite Tarifa School
KTS (Kite Tarifa School) in 2012 celebrated its first anniversary of 10 years as a school and specialized kite shop. In all this time we have wanted to teach sports and transmit our passion to all those who have trusted in our professionalism.
Our growth and professional evolution have also enabled us to train a large group of monitors from the IKO (International Kiteboarding Organization). In fact every year we organize specific courses to spread the sport with the highest level of safety, professionalism, and competence. If you are interested in discovering, learning, improving or specializing in the practice of kitesurfing we will be happy to help you. Also for days without wind we also offer the possibility of not staying on land; now we have also specialized in SUP (Stand Up Paddle surf) or table with rowing and we give mini-courses or excursions in the best spots in Tarifa and surroundings. Village located in the Strait of Gibraltar, in the southernmost point of Europe, Tarifa is only about 15km from the coast of Morocco. It is called “Capital of the wind” due to its numerous days of wind a year, predominating the East blowing Levante and which is generally a strong wind. If this is not the latter, it usually blows west, west wind with a generally milder but steady intensity. Other factors that make Tarifa a unique place for wind sports are its long and wide beaches of fine sand that ensure the safe practice of kitesurfing. On the other hand, the temperatures always allow you to navigate throughout the year.
Our courses are designed and differentiated according to the previous experience of each person. With a wide range of individualized or group courses, we personalize the teaching method to guarantee the best learning of kitesurfing with safety and fun. If you already have enough experience to feel independent, in our school you will find a wide range of equipment for all levels.
IKO (International Kiteboarding Organization) offers a reliable and professional training program. You get your IKO degree by attending one of the 8-day Instructor Courses (ITC).
