Hanging Bridge at Nesher Park, Haifa District, Israel

Stand high above the lush green treetops on the magnificent Hanging Bridge at Nesher Park, taking in scenic views of the park, the bay, and the mountain.

The park is a hidden “Garden of Eden” tucked away between the built up surroundings. The site includes two steel bridges hanging above the depths below, together with fitness and sport installations, a walking path, panoramic lookout points, picnic tables, and all this in the heart of a forest park setting. The circular path along the hanging bridges in the park takes about 1 – 1 1/2 hours to traverse.

The narrow steel suspension bridge spans a ravine cut by a seasonal river; its height of 70 m (230 ft) may pose a challenge for acrophobics. The second suspension bridge also hangs on steel cables, just 150 m (492 ft) from the first one.

Both bridges lie along a hiking route that leads through a forest of pines, Israeli oaks, Greek strawberry trees, and Mediterranean shrubs, before reaching a recreational area.
