Gibraltar

Gibraltar is a British Overseas Territory and headland, on Spain’s south coast. It’s dominated by the spectacular Rock of Gibraltar, a 426m-high limestone ridge. First settled by the Moors in the Middle Ages and later ruled by Spain, the outpost was ceded to the British in 1713. Layers of fortifications include the remains of a 14th-century Moorish Castle and the 18th century Great Siege Tunnels, which were expanded in WWII.

Gibraltar Adventure Route Anti Clockwise

The route continues further South passing the historical Governors and Chief Ministers Official Goverment offices, Trafalgar Cemetery, Botanical Gardens, Alameda Wildlife Park, before heading upwards to the world-famous Mediterranean Steps, Windsor Suspension Bridge, Sky Walk View Point, Barbary Apes sanctuary, City Under Siege Exhibition, World War two tunnels, and Moors Castle. We then walk southeast to Queensway quays to experience wonderful Marina Bay restaurants before continuing around the coastline of Gibraltar’s to enjoy Gibraltar’s best beaches, open-air swimming pools, beach volleyball courts, and historical Europa point.
