Asturias is rich in evidence of the last phase of the Palaeolithic, from 35,000 to 9000 years before present, with paintings and engravings we can be seen in the walls of some caves, unmistakable traces of the existence of groups of hunters and gatherers of the Paleolithic Top. A good example of this type of rock art can be found in our region.
