Bomod-ok Falls, Mountain Province, Luzon, Philippines
Banga-an is where the excellent 45-minute walk to the impressive Bomod-ok Falls (Big Waterfall) begins. You’ll need a guide (P600) for this one, as the walk traverses rice terraces and access is sometimes restricted because of traditions associated with the planting and harvest seasons.
Two daily jeepneys go from Sagada to Banga-an, but they aren’t much use to day trippers as they both depart midafternoon. Walk or hire a jeepney instead. Jeepneys from Banga-an to Sagada depart early in the morning.
