Beach of the Barrosa, Chiclana de la Frontera, Spain
Barrosa Beach is considered one of the best on the Andalucian coast, thanks to its fine sand, clear waters and the pine trees and beautiful sand dunes that back the southern part of the beach. The 7km length of beach is a continuation of Playa de Sancti Petri stretches past Novo Sancti Petri to the Torre de Puerco and attracts many visitors, particularly during July and August.
It is possible to partake in guided horse rides along the water here. It is also a well-known spot for those who want to surf during the winter season. The beach is fully-equipped with parking, toilets, showers, changing rooms, restaurants, kiosks, sun loungers and umbrellas to hire, a paseo maritime and motor boats for hire. These excellent facilities have been awarded a blue flag by the European Union.To reach the beach, take the road from Chiclana to the Pinar de Don Jesús urbanization where there is plenty of parking.
