Aslom Island Beach, Oriental Mindoro, Philippines

We had our lunch in our next destination, in Aslom Island. The island’s name came from the cebuano word aslom, which translates to “sour”, because of the abundance of the sour fruit-bearing Sampaloc tree.

Of course, we didn’t have purely sour food for lunch! We had a scrumptious meal in the island, with a relaxing view of the crescent-shaped sandbar from afar, the blue sunny skies above, and the crystal clear waters.
