El Faro beach, Mijas Costa, Malaga
The Faro (lighthouse) is located in Marbella, near the Puerto Deportivo (seaport) and in the centre of the city. Named after the elegant lighthouse of 1864 presiding over the beach promenade.
Lighthouse Beach is one of the popular and busiest beaches of Marbella, both in high season as in the rest of the year. Because of its size (200 meters long and 30 meters wide), it offers all the necessary services that we find on a beach, but also offers the possibility to have in hand, all the features of a world-class city like Marbella.The beach is just 5 minutes walk from the Marbella luxury shops, large firms, terraces and restaurants. On the Faro beach, there is a Blue Flag which is hosted, awarded by the Foundation for Environmental Education. This award is due to the quality of its waters and the many services it offers.
Just one street from the beach, we can also find the Park of the Constitution, a beautiful garden which also houses an auditorium where recreational and cultural activities are held.
