Cuevas de Tito Bustillo, Asturias, Spain

Asturias is rich in evidence of the last phase of the Palaeolithic, from 35,000 to 9000 years before present, with paintings and engravings we can be seen in the walls of some caves, unmistakable traces of the existence of groups of hunters and gatherers of the Paleolithic Top. A good example of this type of rock art can be found in our region. The most representative are in addition to the paintings and engravings found in the cave of Tito Bustillo , the caves located in the following:

Pindal cave
Cave Buxu
Cave of Loja .
Cueva de la Peña de Candamo
Cave Lluera

These archaeological remains are an example of the activity of different prehistoric communities, which were slowly becoming increasingly sedentary societies, the result of its evolution and adaptation to the environment around them.Visit Spain. Epic Spain Route © Monika Newbound
